A panel discussion composed of retired but very prominent police executives who will share the issues and perspectives they experienced during their tenures. This session will highlight hard-learned and relevant lessons of benefit to current police executives. 11:00 am – 12:30 pm Education Session #1 Cost of Public Safety and Welfare (OACP Partnership) The session will focus on the economics of policing and the research by Carleton University to demonstrate the social value of policing. 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm Education Session #2 What Will Policing Look Like in the Next 5 Years? The Next 10 years...and Beyond? What will the technological environment look like in the near future, and the not-so-near future? ANNUAL MEETING VENUES AND HOTEL INFORMATION PE 10:30 am – 11:30 am Education Session #7 Partnerships to Proactively Reduce Injuries Parachute President and CEO Louise Logan and Alex Jordan, Senior Coordinator, Programs will present on Parachute’s success leading, inspiring, and mobilizing Canadians of all ages around injury prevention and safety solutions. Parachute is creating a movement and building awareness of the issue of injury, to keep Canadians safe at home, on the road, at work, and at play. Louise and Alex will explore best practices in partnership engagement by profiling two of their major initiatives, Safe Kids Week and National Teen Driver Safety Week. Additionally, they will share examples of how Parachute mobilizes and works with youth and community in innovative partnerships in injury prevention. 14 - JUNE #OACP2015
