2015 KISD Summer Recreation Swim Lessons
Swim Lesson Program Description




American Red Cross learn-to-swim lessons open to children 5 – 14 years old
Taught by American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors; Lifeguards on duty during all lessons
40 minute lesson/day – Monday-Thursday for a two week session
All students will earn a completion certificate at the end of the course stating the recommended next
level.
 Classes are taught at Tompkins High School Natatorium and limited to 6-15 students depending on skill
level
Registration Information:
 Early Registration: If the participant is registering for a level 1 class and/or has proof of completion
from a higher level; then the registration form and a copy of the Red Cross level card along with a
check (Pay to the order of: Katy ISD) can be mailed to:

 Testing: swimmers must present a Red Cross Card to show proof of level or they will be tested at
registration (Please bring a swim suit, towel and dry clothes)
 Registration Dates: Wednesday, May 6th and Wednesday, May 20th
 Registration Time: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
 Registration Location: Tompkins High School Natatorium; 4400 Falcon Landing Blvd. Katy TX 77494
 Cost: $100/per person/per session. No refunds offered.
 Class Level: Determined at registration after swim testing or based on presented Red Cross card level
 Make-up classes: If classes are canceled due to weather or pool maintenance concerns we will offer
make-up classes on Fridays.

 11:30 am – 12:10 pm Levels 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6
 6:30 pm – 7:10 pm Levels 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 -- 6
 7:20 pm – 8:00 pm Levels 4 – 5 -- 6
