Alliston Rotary Pool Admission Guidelines 2015 5 Years of Age & Under Must be accompanied by a parent/guardian 16 year+ who is responsible for their direct supervision. Maximum of 2 children per parent/guardian at all times. Parent/guardian must be in bathing attire and within arms reach of the child(ren) at all times in or out of the water. 6 - 9 Years of Age Must use gender specific change rooms. If the child is a non-swimmer or cannot complete facility swim test: Must be accompanied by a parent/guardian 14 years+ Maximum of 2 children per parent/guardian who is responsible for their direct supervision within arms reach at all times. Maximum number of children increases to 8 per parent/guardian when all children wear an approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD). Parent/guardian must be in bathing attire and within arms reach of the child(ren) at all times in or out of the water. If the child can complete facility swim test: Must be accompanied to pool by a parent/guardian 12+ May swim in all areas of the pool 10 Years of Age & Older Must use gender specific change rooms. Admitted unaccompanied. Recommended to always swim with a buddy. Alliston Rotary Pool ADMISSION WRISTBAND POLICY Patrons will receive a Daily Admission Bracelet upon entering the pool during their designated swim time. With this bracelet, you are welcome to enter and leave the facility during the designated swim time for short periods of time. If the pool is at capacity, in/out privileges are not permitted. All Users of the Rotary Outdoor Pool are subject to Daily Admission Fees. Pool Memberships are available for sale. We thank you for your Cooperation. SWIM TEST WRISTBAND POLICY Upon entering the pool, All Children who are 5 and under as well 6-9 year olds who are NON or WEAK SWIMMERS will automatically be given a RED WRISTBAND. Please indicate to Guest Services if you are a NON SWIMMER or WEAK SWIMMER. This is for your own safety. 6-9 years olds who are “comfortable” in the water will be given a *YELLOW WRISTBAND *Indicates a Facility Swim Test must be taken before entering the pool. This test is administered by a lifeguard. Red or Green Wristband will be administered afterward by lifeguard discretion Alliston Rotary Pool WRISTBAND POLICY Red Wrist Band: All children 5 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 16 years+ who is responsible for their direct supervision. Maximum of 2 children per guardian. Weak/ Non-Swimmer 6-9 years of age: Accompanied by parent or guardian 14 years+ is responsible for their direct supervision. Not permitted in deep area of pool. Yellow Wrist Band: 6-9 years of age: Indicating facility swim test required* A Green or Red wristband will be administered after swim test is completed Green Wrist Band: Strong Swimmer 6-9 years of age. Successfully completed facility swim test Permitted in all swimming areas. Accompanied by a swim buddy 12+ Admittance Requirements for Day Camps & Larger User Groups The above guidelines apply to all day camps and large user groups. All Day Camps and large user groups (15 or more participants) MUST pre-book in advance with a Booking Clerk. Please call 705-435-4030 ext. 1502 or 1505 to reserve the day/time of your visit. No Availability on Tuesday/Thursday 1:00pm – 3:00pm. Maximum number of large user group groups booked per time frame is 200, no exceptions. Facility Swim Test Administered by Lifeguards Jump in, Swim continuously for 15 meters, Tread water 1 min. All Children under 5 and 6-9 years who are non-swimmers/ weak swimmers wear RED BAND Children 6-9 years who pass swim test wear GREEN BAND 10 and over regular admission bracelet. At any time a lifeguard can ask a patron to demonstrate swimming skill for safety reasons. It is up to the discretion of the lifeguard/Head guard on duty to make the call for safety concerns. The undersigned has read and understands the terms of the Pool Admission Standard Guidelines and on behalf of the permit holder agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions specified.
