AURORA, IL, April 13, 2015 – Four middle-aged women in a department store with seemingly nothing in
common but a black lace bra that’s on sale discover they have more to share than they imagined.
That’s right: Menopause.
The ultimate gal-pal night out, Menopause The Musical is a hysterical musical parody set to classic tunes
from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. It will have you and the sisterhood cheering, dancing and yelling for more, as the
four every-women on stage bond while making fun of their hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles,
night sweats and chocolate binges.

Adams as Iowa Housewife, Linda Boston as Professional Woman, with two Chicago-based actors –
Judy Blue as Soap Star and Megan Cavanagh as Earth Mother. Blue is well known locally, thanks to
more than a dozen performances at the Goodman, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Chicago
Dramatists and Writers Theatre. Cavanagh is most recognized as Marla Hooch from A League of Their
Own. Her other films include Robin Hood: Men in Tights (Broomhilde), That Darn Cat (Lu) and Jimmy
Neutron: Boy Genius (Judy Neutron). She currently plays Queen Luna on Nickelodeon’s WINX Club.

Approaching its 14th anniversary celebrating female empowerment through hilarious musical comedy,
Menopause The Musical has evolved as a “grassroots” movement of women who deal with life
adjustments after 40 by embracing each other and the road ahead. It is recognized as the longestrunning scripted production in Las Vegas, continues to play nightly at Luxor Hotel and Casino and has

and a total of 15 countries.

About The Paramount Theatre
The Paramount Theatre (ParamountAurora.com) is the center for performing arts, entertainment and
arts education in Aurora, the second largest city in Illinois. Named "One of Chicago's Top 10 Attended
Theatres" by the League of Chicago Theatres, the 1,888-seat Paramount Theatre, located in the heart of
downtown Aurora at 23 E. Galena Blvd., is nationally renowned for the quality and caliber of its

The Paramount Theatre opened on September 3, 1931. Designed by nationally renowned theater
architects C.W. and George L. Rapp, the theater captures a unique Venetian setting portrayed in the art

offered the public a variety of entertainment, including "talking pictures," vaudeville, concerts and circus
performances for more than 40 years. In 1976, Aurora Civic Center Authority purchased the Paramount

comedy, dance and family programming. In 2006, a 12,000-square-foot, two-story Grand Gallery lobby
