Young Farmer in Family Farm, Dublin Zoo Fixed Term Contract (summer) – Immediate start Job description Agri Aware, the Irish agri-food educational body, is inviting applicants for the exciting summer position of ‘Young Farmer’. Based at Family Farm, developed by Agri Aware and Dublin Zoo, the Young Farmer will be responsible for communicating the EU Common Agricultural Policy to visitors to Family Farm at Dublin Zoo, during the months of June, July and August and at weekends in September 2015. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring that visitors to Family Farm have a better understanding of agriculture, farming and the food industry. This unique position is part of a nationwide campaign by Agri Aware to communicate the benefits of the CAP to the general public. The campaign is co-financed by the European Union, Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development and is also supported by Agri Aware’s patrons, the IFA and FBD. Who should apply? Applicants should have knowledge of, and an interest in, the Irish agri-food industry, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
