Florida International University’s (FIU) Veteran and Small
Farmers Outreach Program is looking to assist farmers and
veterans interested in farming in South Florida. Our services
include:
Workshop Schedule:
03.26.15-Farms Loans
Come see how you can get assistance from the Farm
Service Agency and Farm Credit
 Farm Assistance and Technical Workshops that will
train small farmers on how to gain access to USDA
assistance and grants programs, and on general technical
and business aspects of farming. These workshops are
FREE (see the tentative schedule alongside).
04.30.15- USDA Opportunities
 One-on-One Advice on applications for loans from the
USDA Farm Service Agency and Farm Credit
Administration, and programs from other USDA agencies
such as the Rural Service and the Natural Resource
Conservation Service. Visit our Redland’s office MondayThursday, or contact us for a home consultation.

 Farm Apprenticeship for new farmers. We are looking for
prospective farmers for an intense, up to $1000 paid
training in tropical fruits, vegetables and nursery plant
production in South Florida and farm management.
