11 years post Ph.D./relevant terminal degree OR minimum of 7 years of post Ph.D. experience with
at least 12 years of experience prior to the Ph.D. The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/
research in a recognized University or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the
relevant field in a national or international organization.
Publications:
15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the past 5 years) in internationally abstracted
journals, recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education
Commission.

General Instructions:
1.
Candidates for the posts of Professor & Associate Professor are required to submit four sets of reprints of
research publications along with prescribed application forms.
2.
Candidates are required to submit attested copies of their degrees, result cards, transcripts, certificates &
domicile etc alongwith prescribed application forms in person or send by mail to the Registrar (AJ&K
University).
3.
Candidates applying for more than one post shall submit separate application forms for each post applied with
required documents completed in all respects.
4.
Candidates may obtain application forms from the office of Deputy Registrar (Meetings) University Chehla
Campus, Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir,-13100 by producing Rs. 1000/- (BPS-19 and above) and Rs. 600/(BPS-17&18) on University Challan forms available at authorized branches of Habib Bank in Azad Kashmir OR
by sending a bank draft of Rs. 1000/- (BPS-19 and above) and Rs. 600/- (BPS-17&18) in favour of Director
Finance & Planning, University of AJ&K, Muzaffarabad alongwith a large size self- addressed envelope
affixed with Rs. 50/- postage stamps.
5.
Age limit shall not be applicable to in service university employees.
6.
In service university teachers may apply on BPS whereas fresh Ph.D. degree holders shall apply on TTS.
7.
In-service candidates must apply through proper channel by the due date otherwise their applications will not
be entertained.
8.
The services as a teacher in High Schools/ Embassy Schools/ Degree Colleges/ Cadet Colleges will not be
counted as experience for appointment to a teaching post in the university.
9.
Preference will be given to AJK nationals.
10.
During the course of selection available posts should be taken into consideration.
11.
The candidates applying for the posts of Software & Electrical Engineering must submit their PEC
accreditation/ registration certificate.
12.
Applicants will be short listed on the basis of written test (where required) in their respective fields.
13.
The University reserves the rights of cancellation of advertised posts partially or totally and also increase or
decrease the number of posts without assigning any reason.
14.
Application forms indicating the posts should reach the office of the Registrar, AJ&K University, Chellah
Campus, Muzaffarabad latest by 30th April, 2015. Incomplete/ applications received after the due date will not
be entertained.
