ICAL Accelerative Learning Course Design (Scroll) allows you to create
a complete master plan for any new unit you are designing. You will
create lesson content and performance objectives in a giant grid called
a “scroll” which will be the road map for your systematic course design
to create engaging, hands-on, student-centered lessons. Participants
examine the elements that will fill the scroll, including the overall
curriculum content, expected outcomes, and an overview of lesson
structure. It is the global “recipe” from which you will design an actual
course.
ICAL’s 11-step design model is engineered for the ALIVE initiative. It is
designed for trainers or teachers who wish to design units or short
courses for a specific purpose inside their organization. This is a very
hands-on seminar, focused on the design of a unit including the props
and materials. Participants develop a global design based on a
humanistic, student-centers approach.
The design of units or short courses becomes reality as you develop
your scrolls. This give each participant an exciting insight into the
long-term possibilities of course design applied to specific needs
throughout their organization.
ICAL start to develop their approach on the basis of “the hidden
reserves of the mind” discovered by Bulgarian Professor Doctor Georgi
Lozanov.
