Short Story Competition Rules
Open to school year groups 7-9
 Write an original short story that is at least one but no more than two
sides of A4 in font 14.
 It can be about anything you choose but you must include words to
represent the pictures on the other side of this sheet. Use your
imagination: apple could be an Apple device, the Big Apple or a tasty
snack for instance.
 Attach the entry details above and hand your finished story in at
Ivanhoe School reception or Ashby Tourist Information by the Library.
 The deadline is Saturday 16th May
 The winner will be announced at the opening of the Arts Festival, at
Ivanhoe school on the morning of Saturday 23rd May..
 The winner will receive a prize for the Best Story and will also be
presented with the Annual Ashby Art Festival ‘Specsaver Silver Trophy
for Creativity’
