Overview of the Asian Pacific Fund Annual Gala
The Asian Pacific Fund Annual Gala is a celebration of philanthropic leadership in the
Bay Area. For almost two decades, the Gala has been an exceptional gathering of
distinguished individuals from the region’s Asian American community. This year, the
Gala will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel in San
Francisco.
A special part of the evening is the presentation of our Leadership in Philanthropy
award. The award recognizes individuals who have attained great success in their
field while also being a role model for giving back. Former recipients include: Steve
Chen, co-founder of YouTube; Vinod Khosla, co-founder of Sun Microsystems; Dado
Banatao, managing partner and founder of Tallwood Venture Capital; Arun Sarin,
former chief executive of Vodafone Group; Amy Tan, award-winning author;
BlackBerry CEO John Chen; wholesale and retail business leaders Hua Ngo and Chieu
Le; and community leader Dale Minami.
In addition to celebrating philanthropy, our Annual Gala presents key networking
opportunities and provides exposure to almost 500 business, civic and community
leaders. We hope you will consider being included among the corporate partners
