Sports have been part of humanity since times immemorial. It started as a way to establish mastery over
nature and environment. There is evidence that in ancient period, sports was the source of mass
recreation. Cave paintings, and presence of various historical stadiums like Coliseums in Rome depict
heavy indulgence in sporting activities. It was only after Industrial Revolution which provided people
with leisure time and brought about professionalism in the field of sports. Colonial countries like
England played a huge role in acquainting the locals with various sports like cricket and baseball.
Understanding the varied interests and choices people can have, we in our sports academy, offer a wide
array of sporting activities. You can choose any sporting activity based on your liking, comfort and
expertise.
Keeping the dire necessity of getting our youth to embrace sports as part of his daily life, we at Passerine
have introduced a sports academy. Our sports academy will cater to, from tiny tots to young and old of
all sizes and background. What could be better than a trusted name in your vicinity taking up the task of

OUR MISSION:
Our programs will continue to grow over the years into the dominant national federations of India and
will gradually become a brand spread all across India. The largest chain of Sports Academies in India will
be lead by the Passerine Group. The team will select specific children to whom it can support its
sponsor’s needs. We will execute a dual pronged approach and compete in various segments in various
countries and expand further into the international market.
ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a hands on role, where the trainer must show initiative and be able to work closely with
volunteers and partners to get the job done. Independent actions could include finding venues for
training, advertising of classes, engaging volunteers, taking photos of the classes for marketing purposes
and capturing stories and information from the projects. The role will depend on your own
resourcefulness, hard work, and inspiration. You will report to the senior coach, manage your own
classes in close cooperation with other members of the team.
You will also work to build capacity in the region by identifying and training promising students to get
actively involved in their respective sports for professional training during the programme. You will be
expected to contribute to the development of Passerine’s methodology. You will work full-time,
assisting in the management of Events and National tournaments that are frequently scheduled on
evening and weekends. Expect to be busy!
We will support you with finding a place to stay and also provide you with a company car provided you
understand India’s traffic rules and get accustomed to it.
As the main point of contact to the students, they will be expected to provide a range of essential
material on the progress of classes and students. This will include verbal feedback, class registers, stories
of change, photos, films and short surveys. Active observation, an inquisitive mind and relationship
building will be vital in order to gather the necessary information. You will be responsible for
coordinating and implementing the project’s activities including coordinating, and liaising with local
organizations and communities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
All the above positions are volunteering positions.
Commitment: Full-time (minimum for three months with the possibility of extension to paid position)
Purpose: To implement the summer training programmes according to Passerine’s programme goals
Reporting to: Head Coach of Specific Coaches
Benefits: 10% of your monetary contribution will be reimbursed as remuneration at the end of the
term
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Train, coach and initiate team building activities with the children and team
Build and maintain relationships with participants, children, their families and the wider
community. Plan, lead / assist, and evaluate the training sessions in conjunction with the Head
Coach and Counselor. Coordinate all aspects of trainings and programme implementation with
the Head Coach, Project Coordinator and Project Manager
Procurement of sponsorship for any mega-event we conduct and also for budding players
Plan, support and implement workshops, performances and events according to the programme
goals and milestones. Contribute to the development of Passerine’ monitoring and evaluation
systems, procure sponsorship for promising children and mega sports-events
Ensure that all relevant data required from each workshop, regular class or event is accurately
and timely recorded by the team
To anticipate, monitor and report any problems arising from or around training sessions or any
elements of the team’s work to the Project Manager in good time
Follow our Code of Conduct at all times and showing an understanding of and adherence to
cultural norms and your position as a role model to the children
