Training in DevOps
Reference: PM21
Objectives:
Like the Agile movement, the DevOps movement creates a link between the Development
(DEV) and Operational (OPS) teams around a common focused “service” vision to better
reconcile reactivity and quality of service (QoS).
The DevOps system proposes solutions to facilitate the exchanges and the work of these
two teams for a priori opposed objectives – innovation versus stability – to reduce the lead
times between expression of the user’s need and delivery of the application required.
At the end of this training, the candidate holds the keys to success for introducing a DevOps
system within the organization – involvement of the Development teams in Production
operations, standardization of delivery packages, industrialization of infrastructure operations
and deployment, pooling of tools in the different teams and implementation of monitoring
tools.
Educational method
The training alternates between theory (35% of the time), practical workshops and Serious
Gaming (50% of the time), and experience feedback (15% of the time).
• To acquire the terminology,
structure, tools and basic
concepts of the DevOps system
Duration
• To identify the problems linked
with inter-team communications
No training is required to attend this course, but it is recommended that participants have
experience in the field of computer services (design, development, operation).
• To be able to eliminate any
conflict between the team’s
objectives
• To gradually persuade developers
to become involved in production
operations
• To industrialize application
deployments and industrialize
infrastructure
management
operations
“DevOps Awareness” training comprises seven hours of training spread over one day.
