FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AVANTI SENIOR LIVING TO IMPLEMENT FUN, CREATIVE KIDS’ PROGRAM TO ENHANCE
FAMILY TIME
THE WOODLANDS, Texas, February XX, 2015: Avanti Senior Living, a revolutionary company that
develops, operates and manages boutique-style senior living communities, is excited to implement
The A Crew, a family-oriented program for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of residents at
Avanti Senior Living communities. The program will commence when Avanti opens its first
community, Avanti at Towne Lake, in the summer of this year. Avanti values family and wants to
create opportunities for children to come and spend time with their older family members in their
communities. The Avanti Home Office team is currently planning a brainstorming session with a
group of children of various ages to get their ideas and insight about what the communities should
include to make their visits enjoyable and meaningful. Company executives will use this information to
drive the development of the program. Team members will be continuously looking for ways to make
the communities kid-friendly and will develop a variety of regularly scheduled special events and
activities.
“Avanti’s goal is to create a space that is not only accommodating to our residents, but to our little,
energetic visitors,” said Tim Hekker, CEO of Avanti Senior Living. “For starters, we plan to build a
playground for outdoor recreation at each of our communities. We are working with community chefs
to develop kid-friendly meal options and nutritious snacks. While our amenities cater to our residents,
we will offer activities for children to delight in as well and will also have tablets available for children
to check out from our concierge service. We are very excited about this program and are
brainstorming all kinds of ideas to make it really fun.”
In addition to providing nutritious kid-friendly refreshments, space for recreational activities, games
and electronic devices, each Avanti community will host intergenerational events like “Parents Night
Out” and “A Day with Grandma and Grandpa.” More special events planned are craft parties, cookie
decorating extravaganzas, field day-style games and popcorn and movie nights. Team members will
be chatting with residents to see what their grandchildren and great-grandchildren are interested in
and will ask what activities they enjoy doing together.

“We know family is important, whether for our teams or residents, so we find it important to cater to all
generations,” said Lori Alford, COO for Avanti Senior Living. The purpose of the program is create
more opportunities for quality family time,” said Lori Alford, COO of Avanti Senior Living. “We want
children in our residents’ families to get excited about visiting, and we want to provide an abundance
of options to keep them entertained while creating special memories. Avanti values family and wants
to help those relationships grow in every way possible. The kids’ program is one of the ways in which
we can fulfill this goal and who best to help create it – that generation! It has been a huge delight to
see their minds at work and hearing first-hand what they would want to do while visiting grandma and
grandpa.”
Hekker and Alford are leveraging their combined 50 years of experience to create communities in
which seniors’ relationships with their families will flourish and thrive. In addition to the kids’ program,
residents will have personalized Avanti tablets they can use to stay in touch with family via digital
channels. With the diverse spaces and charging stations added for the benefit of visitors, Avanti is
working toward creating communities evocative of timeless hospitality, where every component of the
design has been taken into consideration.
