About BCGRC
Baba Clinical and Genomic Research Centre is a Biotechnology based research establishment.
BCGRC is located in DBT sponsored 15 storeyed building in TICEL Bio Park – II, Taramani. We are
pioneer in Molecular Biotechnological Research not only in Chennai but in Tamil Nadu, aims to enhance
quality research among students.
We focus on cutting edge technologies that aims towards empowering Scientific India. The centre is
equipped with DBT’s Bio-Technology Core Instrumentation Facility (BTCIF) that pockets around 200
crores of ultra-modern instruments of leading companies viz Eppendorf, Beckman, Ion-Torrent, Agilent,
Roche, Life Technologies, GEA, Sartorius, Qiagen etc. These amenities facilitate world class research.
Works Undertaken in BCGRC
BCGRC provides you a vast platform in Science and Technology. Our expertise in Molecular
Biology, Molecular Microbiology, Human Genetics, Gene Expression Technology, Molecular Diagnosis,
Plant Bio-prospecting, Marine Biotechnology, Ozone Technology, Pigmentation Studies, Tissue Culture,
Probiotics, Proteomics, Bio Informatics, Bio Statistics, Pharmacovigilance, etc. We support the research
community by providing Career guidance, outsourcing of Biological samples, research projects and much
more.
BCGRC conducts certificate programs - Workshops and Hands-on training on imminent topics
(scrap to hard-core) for research and Biomedical industrial communities. Individual training for Faculties is
also carried out in BCGRC. In addition, we guide students/staff in publication aspect. We assure
publications in high Impact Factor Journals (Minimum 2) for every project that is done in BCGRC.

Eligibility and Selection criteria:
Students of B.Sc. / M.Sc. / B. Tech /
M. Tech in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life
Sciences, Biotechnology / Botany / Zoology or
Research Scholars / Faculty members / Lab
Technicians / PG DMLT / DMLT / Industrial
belonging to above fields are eligible to apply.
Only 25 candidates will be selected by first come
first serve basis. The selected candidates will be
informed by email.
