Dear Friends,
Picture yourself sipping coffee and relaxing in a rocking chair while watching your family
have a great time together at Young Life’s Windy Gap. Located just 15 minutes north of
Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Windy Gap is a beautiful camp! Our annual Family
Camp Weekend will be May 1st-3rd, and we would love to have you join other families
from North and South Carolina for a marvelous weekend of fun, adventure, community,
and spiritual encouragement.
Young Life’s Windy Gap provides a wonderful setting for you and your family to make
memories that will last a lifetime. The weekend can serve as a restful retreat from the
busyness of everyday life, and offers the opportunity to refocus on family and faith. If
you are planning on going, now is the time to reserve your spots and invite your friends
to join you. Just fill out the registration form on the back of this letter and send it along
with your check made payable to Young Life, to reserve your families’ spots. I hope you
will be able to join us.
Families will stay in cabins all over the camp that are designated to sleep moms and
daughters or dads and sons. Since the cabin is dormitory style you will sleep in bunk
beds and share a spacious bathroom on the floor. Families arrive to camp Friday usually
around 6pm and drive up as a family or carpool with other families. Windy Gap is
approximately a 5 hour drive without stops.
