Official Rules and Regulations
No purchase necessary to enter or claim a prize. Contest begins 4/14/2015 and ends 4/24/2015. This
promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or
Instagram. You understand that you are providing your information to Mountain America Credit Union and
not to Facebook or Instagram. The information you provide will only be used to assign a Facebook ID to
an entry or a vote, and to determine a winner.
ELIGIBILITY
The Promotion is open to legal residents of any of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia who
are eighteen (18) years of age as of April 14, 2015. Officers, directors, employees, and volunteers of
Mountain America Credit Union, and their affiliates, parents, and subsidiaries, and immediate family
members (parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), regardless of where they may live,
are not eligible. Promotion is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
PRIZE
Facebook Contest: The first place winner will receive $1000 towards a 529 savings account. Second
place will receive $500 towards a 529 savings account. Three (3) randomly selected participants will each
receive one (1) pair of moccasins from Freshly Picked. Three (3) randomly selected participants will each
receive one (1) shop credit to Caravan Shoppe.
Instagram Contest: The first place winner will receive $500 towards a 529 savings account. Three (3)
randomly selected participants will each receive one (1) pair of moccasins from Freshly Picked. Two (2)
randomly selected participants will each receive one (1) shop credit to Caravan Shoppe.
HOW TO ENTER
Facebook: Each participant must enter their information and suggest the promotion to friends and family.
Each participant may earn one (1) chance to win by submitting a photo of their baby, ages 0 – 2, on the
Mountain America Credit Union Facebook page. Once the photo is uploaded, participants must invite
Facebook friends to vote for their picture. Only one (1) vote per person is allowed. Participants may only
enter one (1) photo per child. Participants must enter to win by April 23, 2015 at midnight. Winners will be
announced shortly after due date.
Instagram: Each participant must upload a new photo of their baby, ages 0 - 2, with #MACUbaby. Each
participant’s Instagram profile must be public to enter. Once the photo is uploaded and tagged with
#MACUbaby, participants must invite their Instagram followers to like their picture. Participants may only
enter one (1) photo per child. Participants must enter to win by April 23, 2015 at midnight. Winners will be
announced shortly after due date.
Any photo that is inappropriate or obscene will be removed and the person who submitted the photo will
be disqualified from the contest.
Attempts made by the same individual to submit multiple entries by using multiple or false contact
information, including multiple Facebook or Instagram accounts, may be disqualified.
Participants may enter the contest via both Facebook and Instagram, but can only win one prize. If a
participant qualifies as a winner in both channels they will receive the higher valued prize.
ODDS
Actual odds of winning depend on the total number of votes or likes per entry. All winners are chosen by
the highest number of votes or likes when the contest ends.
NOTIFICATION
Potential winners will be notified through the respective website and may be required to sign an Affidavit
of Eligibility and Liability Release, as well as a Publicity Release. In the event of non-compliance of these
Official Rules and Regulations, or if the prize is unclaimed or returned as undeliverable, the prize will be
forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner determined by Mountain America Credit Union. By accepting
any prize from Mountain America Credit Union, the winner consents to the use of his or her name,
likeness and any other information of any and all advertising/publicity purposes without further
consideration, except where prohibited by law, and without any additional compensation. The winner
expressly waives the right to review any and all advertising bearing his or her name, photograph,
likeness, and titles prior to their use.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE
SPONSORS ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR TELEPHONE, NETWORK, ELECTRONIC OR
COMPUTER FAILURES OF ANY KIND, OR FOR ENTRIES THAT ARE STOLEN, MISDIRECTED,
INCOMPLETE, DELAYED BY COMPUTER TRANSMISSIONS, LOST, LATE, MISDIRECTED,
ILLEGIBLE, OR MUTILATED. SPONSORS ARE ALSO NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INCORRECT
OR INACCURATE INFORMATION, WHETHER CAUSED BY WEBSITE USERS OR BY ANY OF THE
EQUIPMENT OR PROGRAMMING ASSOCIATED WITH OR UTILIZED IN THE PROMOTION OR BY
ANY TECHNICAL OR HUMAN ERROR WHICH MAY OCCUR IN THE PROCESSING OF
SUBMISSIONS IN THE PROMOTION. SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT AT THEIR SOLE
DISCRETION TO CANCEL, TERMINATE, MODIFY OR SUSPEND THE PROMOTION. ANY ATTEMPT
BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE
PROMOTION MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN
ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH
PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SHOULD SPONSORS CHOOSE NOT
TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, IT SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER
OF THAT PROVISION.
CONDITIONS
All expenses on receipt and use of a prize are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Each prize
winner, by accepting the prize, agrees to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless and indemnify
Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, affiliates and subsidiaries, and their respective advertising,
promotion and production agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and
agents from and against any and all liability, damages, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever, however
named or described and whenever the same may accrue, for injuries, damages or losses to persons
(including death) and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of
the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity, or otherwise
arising out of the winner’s participation in the contest, whether such claims or actions are on behalf of the
winner or the winner’s heirs, representatives, administrators or assigns. As a condition of entering this
contest, each participant agrees that: (a) under no circumstances will the participant be entitled or
permitted to obtain awards for, and the participant expressly waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental,
and consequential damages, and any other damages, other than actual, out-of-pocket expenses, and any
and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased, and in no event shall attorney’s fees be
recoverable by either party; and (b) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or
connected with the contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form
of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court in the State of Utah.
MISCELLANEOUS
Contest prizes are not transferrable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash. Sponsor
reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value in Sponsor’s discretion. All decisions of
Sponsor with respect to the contest are final. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be
awarded. Payment of any and all Federal, State and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the prize
winner(s).
RIGHT TO CANCEL OR MODIFY CONTEST
Mountain America Credit Union reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest if fraud or technical
problems question the integrity of the contest, as determined by the Sponsor.
