Feel The Energy - Canadian Oilmens
April 18, 2015 Issue 1 65th Oilmen's Oilmen's Business Forum Wednesday, August 19, 2015 Welcome As proud Chairs of the 65th Oilmen's, we invite you to join us in celebrating the Oilmen's Sapphire Anniversary. Each year the Chairman and his Partner select a theme for the event that has special meaning or purpose for them. To us our theme, "Feel the Energy" is a perfect double entendre for how we live our lives … in the Energy Industry and the Energy Source Within Us … it's how we choose to ignite the soul … with our friends, family and colleagues. Energy is all around us. It is what creates endless possibilities … our ability to achieve beyond our boundaries and honour the Energy within. 2014 OBF Speakers A one-of-a-kind opportunity for oil and gas executives Can you feel it? "Feel the Energy!" John and Gio Gorman Mid-Year Update session on April 17, 2015 featured Alberta Premier Jim Prentice, Ambassador Gary Doer and former Quebec Premier Jean Charest along with Industry leaders to tie together last year's Oilmen's Business Forum to what will be coming at the August 2015 Oilmen's Business Forum in Banff. Each year the OBF has outperformed the previous year, and we expect the same to be true in 2015. Key themes for 2015: Canada's position globally, competitiveness and public confidence. There is a crisis of public confidence / commodity prices that is resulting in our industry not being competitive in international / investment markets. Wednesday, August 19 – Full-day business forum. Thursday and Friday, August 20, 21 – round table discussions. The Oilmen's Business Forum (now in its fifth year) continues to gain momentum, highlighting the key challenges facing Canada's oil and gas industry – and work does not stop once the Forum is done. There is a year-round commitment to tackling the key issues and making real change to improve our position as an industry. Former Prime Minister Paul Martin, Canadian Ambassador to the U.S. Gary Doer, former Quebec Premier Jean Charest and a number of leading industry CEOs will provide their perspective on these important topics. It is the responsibility of all of us to get involved in these discussions. Sponsorship opportunities are available - see website for details Feel The Energy Celebrating 65 Years The Canadian Oilmen's Executive Association Since 1951, the Canadian Oilmen's Executive Association has brought together Industry executives through a first-class golf tournament.
