IJFRE Seminar
INVITATION
Two Freestyle Judging seminars have been organized to evaluate candidates who
would like to Judge at the 2015 ICF Freestyle World Championships and the 2016 ICF
Freestyle World Cups: These seminars will take place at:
1) WILDERNESS TOURS ONTARIO CANADA
On the 30-31st of May 2015
Accommodation will be provided for 29-30th May.
Seminar will commence 10:00 a.m. 30th May & finish at 4:00 pm 31st
May.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on the 30th May. Breakfast
and lunch will be provided 31st May.
2) NOTTINGHAM NWSC U.K.
On the 20-21st of June 2015
Accommodation will be provided for 19-20th June.
Seminar will commence 10:00 a.m. 20th June & finish 4:00pm 21st
June.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on the 20th June.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided 21st June.
The Trainees will be lodged from the night prior to the seminar commencing, and the
following night. Food will be provided for the 2 days of the seminar.
The subscription fee will be standard ICF subscription (20€) invoiced directly to the
National Federation.
An extra 30€ to cover lodging/food will have to be paid directly to the organizer of the
seminar in cash on arrival. A receipt will be given upon payment.
Judges wishing to apply for one or other of the 2 seminars should have the
following:

A high level of Freestyle judging capability/experience (not open to beginners).
Fluent English speaking. Fluent is defined as being able to justify the judgement
made to the chief judge. Interpreters are not accepted.
Availability for this year’s World Championships on the Ottawa River.
Be members of their National Federation.
Experienced ICF Freestyle Judges in combination with a member of the ICF Freestyle
Committee will carry out the evaluation.

DETAILS
Necessary facilities & resources:
- Viable feature for paddlers demonstration
- 1 Meeting room with at least 1 video projector
- Lodging & food
Trainers: 1 member of the FREC + 1 Grade A Judge or 1 Chief Judge
The Judge Trainer should ideally be from another Continent than from the one were the seminar
is organized.
Trainees: 15 maximum limited to 2 per National Federation for each session
Subscription fee: 50€ / trainee (20€ for ICF, 30€ for Lodging/food).
