Ms. Kimberly Gaddy is currently a Director within the Joint Analytics and Data Team (JDAT) for Yale University’s School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health System which provides data-based information, training and analytical solutions to Yale University School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health System assisting with improving the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care and business services. Prior to this position she served in several positions ranging from Sr. Programmer Analyst to Director of Information Systems and Decision Support from 2005 to 2014 for Yale University’s School of Medicine and the Yale Medical Group with the primary responsibility of managing information system, interface/integration, training and decision support needs for Yale Medical Group’s Revenue Cycle and Practice Management services. Ms. Gaddy’s previous professional experience includes holding a variety of technical positions with the Southern Connecticut Gas Company, the Hospital of St. Raphael, and Aetna where she led and worked on enterprise software implementations and maintenance, bi-directional data interfaces & exchanges, and enterprise reporting solutions. Ms. Gaddy was born and raised in Norwalk, CT and is a proud graduate of Norwalk High School and an alumnus of the George Washington Carver Foundation, Youth Development Program. She was first introduced to the hardware and software required for personal computers at the age of 16 through an experience at the Carver under her mentor Richard N. Fuller, Sr. where she was stopped in the hallway and asked to stand up, configure and install the operating systems on 3 brand new PC’s (IBM PS2’s) obtained for the community center through a grant with no experience at all. She was successful in completing that task and from that point forward her interest in computers and technology soared. She began her career in technology, data analysis and reporting prior to college at the age of 17 working for Norwalk Hospital’s Outpatient Ambulatory Psychiatric Department afterschool and throughout her undergraduate years where she was primarily responsible for office management and analyzing/reporting on outpatient psychiatric data that was submitted to the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health in support of the numerous grants required to run and sustain 3 outpatient outreach programs. Ms. Gaddy is a graduate of Hampton University, Hampton, VA where she obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science and Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT where she obtained Masters of Science Degree in Computer Science. Community service, mentoring children and maintaining a strong faith are main staples in her regimen. She serves on the board of ACCESS Educational Services and as the chair of Finance Board for Friendship Baptist Church, Stratford, CT, as well as being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the National Society of Black Engineers. Ms. Gaddy loves providing information to the masses and truly believes that “Ignorance is the night of the mind, a night without moon nor star-- Confucius”. Therefore, education is the key that unlocks many doors and it takes a strong community approach to assist with providing the next generations with bridges to cross towards positive outcomes which will further enlighten, strengthen and empower our communities and families.
