ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE IN GENERAL AGRICULTURE
Programme Philosophy
The Associate of Science Degree in General Agriculture is designed to prepare students to enter most jobs requiring the knowledge
of agriculture. It also prepares students to do further studies in a variety of areas including: Agronomy, Agricultural Education/
Extension, Nutrition/Dietetics, Environmental Science, and Veterinary Medicine. The programme is designed to articulate with a
relevant Bachelors Degree at CASE and other universities.
Duration
The A.Sc. in General Agriculture is a two-year programme.
Entry Requirements
1. Five (5) CSEC/GCE/SSC subjects including English Language, Mathematics, 2 Science subjects and one other
subject;
2. Grade I Certificate from Knockalva or Sydney Pagan Agricultural Schools;
3. Ebony Park HEART Academy Levels I & II Certificate in Farm Maintenance.
Mode of Study
The A.Sc. in General Agriculture is currently offered full-time residential.

The A.Sc. in General Agriculture is structured to provide students with a mixture of:

Students are engaged in selected practice of various areas of agriculture in both animal and plant science. Students are
also required to complete eight (8) weeks of internship in an organization where they are exposed to real work
experience, cutting-edge strategies/technologies/practices.
