GAUTENG DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME: 2015/2016 (Ref No: HRD 1516/01) The Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (GDARD) offers an Internship opportunity to unemployed graduates or students that require Experiential Training to apply in the fields that are in line with the Departmental core business. The Department is therefore inviting applications for the Internship Programme that runs for a maximum period of 12 months in the following disciplines/fields of study: Qualification (Study Fields) Functional Unit No of Interns ND/degree: Environmental Studies Sustainable Use of Environment or Sustainable Resource Management 6 Degree: Agricultural Extension; Agricultural Management; Farmer Support & Development; Agricultural Economics Animal/Crop Production; Agricultural Science; Horticulture; & Marketing or Research and Technology Development Agricultural Engineering; Soil Science; Agricultural 6 Services Economics; or Agribusiness Management ND/Degree: Animal Science; Animal Health; Veterinary Laboratory Technology; Microbiology or Biotechnology ND/Degree: Developmental Studies ND/Degree: Small Business Management or Economics Veterinary Services Note: Laboratory Diagnostics interns should be registered with South African Veterinary Council & will be placed at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute. 4 Applicants should indicate that they are applying for the Laboratory Internship Rural Development 1 1 Requirements All applicants must be between the ages of 18 – 35 years, South African citizen, unemployed graduates who have never participated in an internship programme or students that require Experiential Training to complete their qualifications. Successful candidates will be expected to sign an Internship Agreement and they will receive a monthly allowance or stipend which will be determined by the exit level of their qualifications. Closing date: 30 January 2015 Applications must be submitted on a signed Z83 form, obtained from any Public Service Department, and Curriculum Vitae, plus certified copies of Identity Document, Senior Certificate and qualification including academic transcript.
