We have a summer schedule filled with many exciting activities and field trips. Here are a few summer camp rules to help keep everyone safe and having fun: 1)BE KIND TO OTHERS. This includes students, teachers and anyone involved in field trips and special activities. We will have parent volunteers, program coordinators and facilitators while out on field trips and a few special visitors at school as well. 2)BE SAFE. Safety is the key to having a fun and exciting camp experience. Children are expected to keep their hands and feet safe with other people. Following the teachers instructions is also a very important part of being safe. While we are out on field trips, teachers will go over boundaries and guidelines to help keep the children aware of what is to be expected and where it is safe to explore. We will be transporting the children frequently and safety in the vans is a must. Children must remain in their seatbelts while in the van and the teachers will notify the children when it is safe to unbuckle (we provide assistance as needed). Booster seats are required for children until the child is 6 years old AND 60 pounds. Being in control of our voices and bodies is important, especially while riding in the vans. Softer “inside voices” is appropriate in the van. Children are expected to remain with their designated group. In order to go on field trips, these safety rules must be followed! 3. HAVE FUN! This is summer camp! Our field trips are planned for the kids to have the most fun possible! Let’s get messy, creative, explore and work together to have fun!
