WHISH working in partnership
We have a number of different activities coming up over May & June - Dr Watson from Scarborough will
be delivering a WHISH session in Whitby on identifying anxiety & depression symptoms in young
people. We are taking part in a CAVCA meet & greet event with other local organisations at Sneaton
Castle, an SEN day at Caedmon College, and the NYPACT conference. These activities will raise
awareness about our services within the wider community and offer support to more parents and carers
of children with hidden impairments.
We have an ongoing need to raise funds to support all of our activities. We have a couple of fundraising
opportunities with which we need your help. During May we have the opportunity to match fund up to
£500 via localgiving – details below, and on 13th June we are at Sainsbury’s Whitby as part of Carers
Week, for which we need some member volunteers. We need your support in terms of both time and
money, I urge you all to give whatever you can, to enable WHISH to continue to support your family.
