Changing Pedometer Batteries The WHISH pedometer we sent you, to help you log your steps, will need a new battery around every six months. If your screen begins to dim or goes blank, you can do one of two things: buy a new battery, or buy a new pedometer. If you choose to buy a new battery, you need a “Type L1142 (LR43) 1.5-volt” battery. Below are directions to change the battery on your WHISH pedometer: 1. Get one Type L1142 (LR43) 1.5-volt battery 2. Insert a fingernail under the top right shiny edge of the battery door to lift the door open and out of its slot 3. Using a small “eye glasses” style screw driver, remove the holding screw 4. Remove the old battery and insert the new battery, (+) side up 5. Replace holding screw 6.
