November 22/23, 2014 $ 21,000 THIS YEAR WE RAISED OVER... 20-25 THAT EQUALS: SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CURRENT & NEW STUDENTS IN CAMBODIA Wow! How do we begin to say “thank you”? This year God surpassed all of our expectations and we were able to raise $21,000. 100% of the money raised will help Cambodian teens stay out of sex trafficking and allow them to receive an education. That will allow for 20-25 scholarships for current and new students in Cambodia! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who supported, donated and prayed for this mission. We often hear the phrase “Perception is everything” – it’s true. But in our self-absorbed culture it’s not so much about ‘perception’ as it is ‘perspective.’ Many of us struggle with ‘navel-gazing’. This condition can affect so much of our day-to-day perspective of everything from breakfast, to traffic, to the simple act of saying ‘thanks’. Kindergarten and up join their parents in the sanctuary. Camp Kingdom Kids (ages 3-12) is a spiritually nurturing and active Christian day camp, June - August. One of a Kind TONY DEACH, Director of Pastoral Care Champion Basketball needs coaches For a three-hour commitment each week in January and February, you can mentor kids to know and grown in Christ using the tool of basketball. We have a need for 20 more coaches to allow for all kids to participate. Kingdom Kids FUNraiser 5:30 - 8:30pm at CCC Our annual scholarship fundraiser is fast approaching. This is a family-friendly event including a carnival, inflatables, good food, petting zoo, a silent auction and entertainment by Mixed Nuts, the Midwest’s favorite Kid’s Comedy duo. All proceeds will go toward the Tuition Assistance Fund. Upcoming Event: Registration is open for Champion Youth Basketball’s winter program! This is for boys and girls in 1st - 6th grade. Champion Basketball is a Christian basketball experience and is very affordable. Registration is filling up fast, and there’s limited spots available so register soon! For more information, go to www.championbasketball.org. What’s cooking in 2015? Come to our Third Annual Chili Challenge and get a taste of the exciting changes in Men’s Ministry coming in 2015. There will also be football on the big screen, board games, cards, and bean bag toss. Registration is not required and the event is free! Save the date! No Regrets Conference: Live Free Save the date for this coming year’s No Regrets Conference via satellite at CCC. It’s a one-day national men’s conference where you’ll hear from six speakers, such as Bryan Loritts (Willow Creek Summit 2014 speaker) and more. No Regrets ministry exists to empower the local church to develop it’s men into an army to reach the world for Christ. Stay tuned for more information. As Christians, we see the world through a different lens. In this high school only ministry, you’ll have a safe place to ask tough questions and have discussion about big issues.
