This application process is now the only way to apply for administrative and certified positions with Canton City Schools. Once you submit your online application, it will be available for review by our principals and other administrative staff. Please do not e-mail or mail any documents regarding future employment opportunities with Canton City Schools. All applicants including current CPEA Members must apply for a vacancy by visiting our website and clicking on the employment tab on the top of the page. Please continue the application process for internal or external candidates. External Applicants: Candidates not currently employed as bargaining unit members (CPEA) should continue with the process outlined above. Prior to beginning an application, you may wish to gather some support materials including current transcripts, teaching license, dates of student teaching, and past employment, contact information for references, your resume and a cover letter. All applications must be done before the expiration date indicated on the job posting. Internal Applicants: Internal applicants (current CPEA Members) must apply for a vacancy by visiting our website and clicking on the employment tab on the top of the page. Thank you! Timken Adult Booster Club Reverse Raffle The Timken Adult Booster Club is sponsoring a Reverse Raffle and Silent Auction on Friday, April 26th at Windsor Hall. Only 200 tickets will be sold with $2000 in prize money to be given out. Tickets are available in the Timken Athletic office for $50 - which gets you either a steak, chicken or scrod dinner and a raffle ticket, or only $30 for the raffle ticket if you are unable to attend the festivities. Call 330-438-2625 for more information or to reserve your ticket. Literacy through Children's and Young Adult Literature The April books and activities are for all grade levels. Just one month’s book discussions and activities = 8 contact hours and/or 6.5 Staff Development Hours. The April book selection is the participants' choice of one of of the 2012 Robert F. SIbert Informational Books Medal books. OR one of the 2012 YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults books. See the links on the Wiki http://literacythroughlit.wikispaces.com/Home for more details about these books. Participants are responsible for obtaining a copy of the books. Please join the Wiki and post on the Wiki’s Discussion Board if you will need the 6.5 Staff Development hours and/or 8 LPDC hours by 3:00 PM Friday, April 19. For participants wanting the 6.5 Staff Development hours, please sign up on www.mylearningplan.com by this date also. Participants will be expected to: • Read the assigned young adult or children's book(s) for the month. • Respond to the discussion questions posted on Discussion Blog. • Respond to other participants answers for each question in a separate post on the Discussion Blog. • Create a lesson using the book(s). • Meet together for 1 hour to further discuss the book and share their lessons on Monday, April 29.
