Vapotherm Protocol Guidelines:
 Patient is Spontaneously Breathing
Conditions indicative of, but not solely attributed to the
following clinical diagnosis:
 Patient is Alert and Oriented
 Mild to Moderate CHF
 Patient Has a Protected Airway
 Acute Exacerbation of COPD
Vapotherm (HFT) Candidates presents with
one of more of the clinical presentations:
 Increase Work of Breathing
 Asthma
 Bronchitis
 RSV
 Bronchiolitis
 Pneumonia
 Influenza
 Emphysema
 Pleural Effusion
 Increase Cardiac Workload
 Refractory Hypoxemia
Part 1
Part 2 of the protocol should be
considered when:

Patient Has a History of
Chronic Lung Disease

Patient’s Arterial Blood Gas
indicates a Partly
Compensated OR
Compensated Chronic
Respiratory Acidosis
