MORNING TEA AND LUNCH PROVIDED Program 9:45am Registration — Morning Tea 10:15am Welcome from Lung Foundation Australia 10:30am Managing your Emotional Health Margaret Rowe Senior Social Worker in the Chronic Disease and Post-Acute Program with Gold Coast Health will present on the emotional impact of having a chronic lung disease on both you and your family. This will include the various changes to your lifestyle and healthy ways to manage. Anxiety and depression are more prevalent in persons with lung disease and Margaret will talk about indicators, practical ways to manage and when to seek support. 11:15am Lung Foundation Australia Knowing your Medications and How to Use Them Correctly PO Box 1949 Simon Sinclair Shah, Pharmacist Advanced in the Chronic Disease Wellness Program for Gold Coast 4064 Health, will explore the different types of medications used by patientsMilton with QLD lung disease and how they [email protected] interact with each other. Simon will also demonstrate the correct use of the different types of delivery devices and answer any question you have, time permitting. 12:00pm Lunch and Lucky Door Prize 12:30pm Asbestos Awareness and Safety in the Community Claire Mulvihill, Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist from Lung Foundation Australia, will explore the risk of asbestos that remains in the community. Claire will also explain what to do if you suspect asbestos in your home or if you have been exposed to asbestos in your environment. 1:15pm Thank You and Closing The Lung Foundation Australia - Chronic Lung Disease Self-Management project is supported by funding from the Australian Government under the Chronic Disease Prevention and Service Improvement Fund.
