Cherokee County Saddle Club Poker Ride to benefit
Cherokee County Technical Large Animal Rescue.
The Cherokee County Saddle Club will be hosting a Poker Ride on Saturday
May 30. Proceeds from this ride will be used to continue our efforts to buy
lifesaving equipment for the Cherokee County Technical Large Animal Rescue.
Information:
 When: Saturday May 30
 Time: Registration/Check In: 9-11 am
 Ride Window: 9am-3:00pm
 Last Rider In: 3:00pm
 Lunch 12:00-3:00pm
 Winners announced at 3:30pm
 $25 Entry Donation includes: 1 Poker Hand and hot lunch. Anyone who
pre-registers will receive an extra hand at no additional cost.
 Buy additional Poker Hands, $5 each.
 Bring your score card(s) with you to find out if you hold a winning hand.
 You will receive your score card(s) at the beginning of the ride.
Cash Winners:
 1st place: $100
 2nd place: $50
 3rd place: $30
 Some other door prizes!
A Negative Coggins will be required at check in!!!!!
 Children (16 years and under) must ride with an adult.
 This is not a race.
 Please observe trail courtesy and safety for everyone’s sake.
 Ride at your leisure on a scenic, approximately 2-3 hour flagged route.
 Strop and draw a poker card for each hand you are playing from 5
different dealers along the way.
 Each drawn card will be recorded on your score card(s) issued at
registration.
 Have fun riding and be back in time to enjoy your delicious lunch with
your equestrian friends, all for a good cause.

 NOTE: bring water for your horse as there is no eater at Garland
Mountain in the parking lot. There is however, water on the trails.
 There is a covered picnic area, but due to space, please bring a lawn
chair.
Directions to Garland Mountain
From Atlanta and points South: Go North on I-75 to I-575. Take exit #16
and follow the signs to GA 140 (turn right onto Riverstone Pkwy and then left
onto GA 140) Garland Mountain will be approximately 11 miles on the right.
Follow signs to trail head.
From Jasper/Ellijay and points North: Take GA 53 to GA 108. Take a right
onto GA 140/Reinhardt College Pkwy, go approximately 6 miles, Garland
Mountain will be on the right. Follow signs to the trail head.

professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in the
equine activities resulting from the inherent risk of equine activities, pursuant
to Chapter 12 of Title 4 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.
You’re Pre-Registration must reach us by May 28, 2015 to entitle you to the
bonus poker hand and draw.
Sorry, no phone registrations. Cancellations will be accepted until
May 28, 2015.
Pre-Registered riders must also check in at the registration table on
Saturday morning.
