BURTON upon TRENT Commemorating the centenary of THE GALLIPOLI CAMPAIGN Saturday 25th April 2015 Clay Mills Victorian Pumping Station Meadow Lane Stretton DE13 0DA 10:00 am – 16:30 pm Stretton Parish Council and the Clay Mills Victorian Pumping Station Museum present a day dedicated to the memory of the men connected to Burton, who gave their lives in the service of their King and Country at Gallipoli. ________________________ Events will include; A Church Drum Head Service conducted by the Rev. Kim Thomas An exhibition telling the story of the campaign and commemorating the memory of the 48 men connected to Burton who died at Gallipoli. The ‘Birmingham Pals.’ WW1 re-enactment group The Kitchener Recruiting Team (courtesy of the Staffordshire Regiment Museum) and a WW1 Fighter Plane Fly Past The pumping station volunteers will be raising steam, to demonstrate how a very important industry worked during the First World War.
