This is the last event for the academic year RSP (ID) • Corporate Social Responsibility was held on 4th April 2015 at Health Promotion Board. • Upcoming event includes an outing with YEC volunteers at Botanic Gardens on 16th May 2015 • Successors’ interviews will be held tentatively on 31st May and 1st June 2015 CurL • There will be a carwash on 17th May 2015 • VSS1 and VAP1 will be held on 30th and 31st May 2015 • VAP2 will be held tentatively the bicycle component for their main event. All participants are aware of the change • There are 55 beneficiaries and 58 volunteers. The committee will not be recruiting marshals 4 GO! • Exam Welfare Package distribution was held on 8th April 2015. Feedbacks from the members were generally positive. RSP (HI) • Learning journey will be held on 23rd May 2015. • There will be an election for the next chairperson and centre heads at MR1 on 30th May 2015 • AAD will be held in Pioneer Function Hall on 27th June 2015 OvE • There was a post exam outing on 9th May at Sentosa • Upcoming events include carwash on 17th May 2015 and a pretrip on 14th June 2015. Members will be visiting Melrose Home Children Aid’s Society for the pretrip. COR • Past event includes Precamp 1 on 4th April 2015. Precamp 2 will be held on 30th to 31st May 2015. Actual trip to Vietnam will be from 13th to 22nd June 2015 IgC • SAGL bonding will be held on 16th May 2015 at Sentosa • There will be a carwash on 17th May 2015 • Seniors’ camp will be from 27th to 28th May 2015. Interested members can inform Jianlong if they still want to join • Actual camp will be held in July RSP (Elders) • Sessions have been resumed • There will be a carwash on 17th May 2015 • SWAMI Home Family Day will be held on 20th June 2015 • AWWA dumpling festival will be held on 27th June 2015 • Elders excursion will be held on 18th July 2015 • Elders AAD will be held on 31st July 2015 • Golden Generation will be held on 23rd May at Boon Lay VM Community Centre and Underwater World • VM overseas retreat will be held on 30th and 31st May 2015 at Kukup 5 PnP • Bonding event was held on10th May 2015 • StandOUT newsletter will be changed from April to June issue due to time constraints RSP (PC) • Upcoming event, Pursuit Challenge, will be on 6th June 2015. Dry runs for the event will be held on 23rd and 30th May 2015 • There are some issues with volunteers sign up rate. The committee will be publicising the event on WSC Facebook page, instagram, as well as sending an email blast to members. RSP (Youth) • Youth AAD will be held on 26th June 2015 at 4.30pm. • Volunteers will be bringing ITE students to volunteer with RSP (Elders) in June RSP (VH) • 2 VH Anniversary event will be held tentatively in August Updates on WSC AAD • Date: 6th August 2015 • Time: 7-10.30pm • Venue: Scape Level 2 • Each portfolio has been given a quota. Portfolio should try to fill their quota • Chairpersons are to fill in nominees for WSC Excellence and Stars award by 31st May 2015 • Attendance list should be filled by 18th June • RSP chairpersons will help to take video of beneficiaries showing gratitude to members. The videos will be played to the members during the events • Tickets will be printed in two colours; one for alumni and the other for current members • One STAR awardee will be nominated to say a speech at the end of the event 6 3 NTU Fest 2015 • VH, Elders, FoC, PC and Youth will be bringing beneficiaries to the event • Portfolios who are intending to bring the beneficiaries to the event are to inform Mark the followings by 31st May 2015. 5 o Number of beneficiaries o Number of buses for both volunteers and beneficiaries AOB • Portfolios having carwash on 17th May should note the following o Make sure you have your license number and form at all times. The license must be signed by the chairperson. o Bring your own detergents and cloth. Remind the members to bring umbrella in case of rain o Make sure that the car is in good condition before wash o The portfolio is liable to any complaints or damages done to the car. If payments are required, the costs will be solely bore by the portfolio. The school will not provide any compensation o Be tactful when talking to the car owners.
