Action – Convened city-wide discussion to identify shared community goals by
engaging leaders and everyday citizens with a narrative developed from 60
community conversations.
How to Move Cradle to Career Efforts Forward in Phase II
Recruit
 Secure key stakeholders as co-chairs
 Recruit cross-section of community using staff and volunteers
 Continue recruitment and updates throughout process
Launch
 Conduct orientation around five conditions of collective impact
 Outline process and timeline of working committee tasks
Lead
 Play backbone role (convene, communicate, provide data, synthesize feedback)
 Encourage volunteer chairs to lead meetings and direct process with staff
support
 Analyze community assets, gaps, tipping points, and data as goals are formed
Results
 Three to five shared community goals
