COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is an update in new technology research and clinical application of per-oral endoscopic
myotomy (POEM) for the treatment of achalasia and other esophageal motility disorders, as well as
the indications and techniques for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). This course will provide
information regarding the techniques, indications and complications which will be encountered by the
gastroenterologist and general surgeon. Course content will include state-of-the-art lecturers, panel
discussions, instructive video presentations and a porcine laboratory session.
