This involved the children completing four problem solving challenges whilst showing good team work and sporting behaviour. All the events were run by Year 6 children from the schools included and all did a wonderful job. Well done to Patrick Middle, Connor Rollason, Katie Spencer, Maddie Ford, Ola Rowlings, Tom Skinner, Angus Montagu, Daisy Augustus-Harris, Kirsty Allenby and Finnelay Prestedge. Thank you also to Holly Nichols and Holly Grant who helped run the event. Year 6 Girls Tag Rugby Win! Congratulations to the Year 6 Tag Rugby Team who recently played in the Cowes Area Tag Rugby Final. Cowes Primary had qualified for this match by previously beating Lanesend and Gurnard Primary Schools. The final was against Queensgate and turned out to be a fantastic game. Queensgate quickly went two tries ahead and hung on to this lead until half time. A quick team talk followed by some superb play, soon took Cowes into the lead and with every try they scored they just got stronger and stronger. By the final whistle, Cowes had secured themselves a good lead and won by 24 tries to 20. Mrs King would like to thank the girls for their efforts as they played superbly as a team showing commitment and determination. Well done to Frankie Bailey, Chloe Duggan, Gabrielle Sellier, Hannah Pallant, Summer Price, Abbie Faulkner, Millie Evans and Charlotte Despard. Horticultural Show & Summer Fayre Due to the success of last year we will be combining our very successful Horticultural Show with our Summer Fayre. They will be held on Thursday 16th July, with marquees open for displaying competition produce at 8:00am. The Fayre will run after school from 3:00pm - 5:30pm. Within this time the marquees will be open for everyone to view the competition entries. This is the fifth year that our Horticultural Show has been run and it gets more and more successful each year. Last year we had over 50 families participate. Do you enjoy baking? Do you have vegetables, fruits or flowers growing in your garden? Are you arty? Then enter the show! Every child who enters the show will receive a free ticket for a go on the bouncy castle before the show/fayre. Moved House / Changed Your Numbers?
