Creating Pretty Cards – Sketch Challenge # 47

Our card challenges are here to be a source of inspiration, helping you create pretty cards easily! You’re
encouraged to let the creative spark take you wherever it goes: rotate the layout, change up the sizes, use
different shapes, or duplicate the sketch exactly.
To help you get started we’ve created this Mini Tutorial with measurement and cutting information as well as a
recipe for our inspiration card. This is just a tiny glimpse of what you can expect from the monthly Craft Project
Central Tutorials! We’re looking forward to seeing what this sketch inspires you to create!
Instructions
Step 1
Cut a piece of Tangelo Twist Cardstock 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”. Fold in half, on the 4-1/4” line.

Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 3-3/4” x 5” and a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock 3-5/8” x 4-7/8”.
Use the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, and the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder to emboss the Night of
Navy Cardstock piece. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the two layers.

Cut the ‘Night of Navy/White striped’ Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) 1-1/2” x 4-1/4”.
Cut the ‘party hats’ Birthday Bash Specialty DSP 2-1/2” x 3-1/2”. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the
DSP pieces onto the embossed navy layer.

Step 4
Cut a 3-3/4” piece of Hello Honey 5/8” Quilted Cotton Ribbon. Use Fast Fuse Adhesive to adhere it to the card
front layers. Then add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the backside of the layers and adhere to the Tangelo Twist
card.

Step 5
Cut a piece of Tangelo Twist Cardstock 2-1/8” x 2-5/8”. Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 2” x 2-1/2”.
Use the Jet Black StazOn pad to stamp the Cute Critters HAPPY DAY and bear onto the Whisper White piece.
Use a Blender Pen with Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pads to color
the bear image. Adhere the Whisper White and Tangelo Twist Cardstock layers.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stamped image layers to the card front. Tie the 10” Linen Thread
through the Crushed Curry (Regals Collection) button. Add to the card using a Glue Dot.
