All Young Marines units are community-based programs led by dedicated volunteers who serve as
Registered Adult Leaders. Many of these volunteers are active duty, retired, reserve, or former
Marines working alongside with civilian staff.

70TH ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY TOUR
The PFC Bruce W. Carter Young Marines have been
invited to attend the historic 70th anniversary of
D-Day, “The Longest Day” Tour in Normandy,
France.
PFC Bruce W Carter (MoH) Young Marines of Miami
-Dade will be in France from June 1-9, 2015, for
the D-Day “The Longest Day Tour”. Our unit operations is funded solely through private and philanthropic donations from community based organizations since being established in 2009.
OUR PROGRAM
The Young Marines Organization is a youth, education and service program for boys and girls ages 8
through the completion of High School. Our Program promotes mental, moral and physical development of its members, as well as, character
building, leadership and supports a healthy drug
free life style. Our program components may be
summarized are as follows:

Drug Demand Reduction (DDR)—One of the
pillars of the Young Marine program is to lead
positive, drug free lifestyles...and to educate
and encourage others to do the same. Young
Marines follow the Project Alert curriculum,
standardized all across the nation.

Summer Programs of Adventures, Challenges and Encampments (SPACES)—Our
summer programs are available to qualifying
Young Marines. Junior, Senior and Advanced
Leadership Schools, the Great American History
Adventure, Space Camp Mach I through III Aviation
Challenges,
the
Working
Cattle
Ranch Experience and the Cattle Drive Experience are activities that expand and enrich the
Young Marines’ outlook.

Veterans Week—Young Marines participate in
many activities to honor the contributions and
sacrifices of the men and women who served in
the Armed Forces and have been vital
in maintaining the freedoms and way of life enjoyed by the people of the United States.
