Hello Everyone! What's goin' on?! Thanks to you all for such a wonderful CTC 2014. If you haven't heard, we registered 7,293 vehicles from 39 states, Canada and one overseas military post for “America's Largest Block Party!” Last year’s oldest registered vehicle was a 1909 Ford Model T limo. It seems like we had everything from Auburns to Zephyrs and a lot of everything in between, including fun. It’s just amazing what you'll see at Cruisin’! Speaking of fun, 2015 plans are well underway. Our good friend, Dennis Gage, will be back this year, as will Courtney Hansen from PowerNation. A new member is joining our automotive royal family this year… Cristy Lee as seen on “All Girls Garage”! We’re busy working on bringing back the Autocross, an event in Pascagoula and improving your overall experience here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Pete Vicari promises a great array of classic cars, muscle cars and trucks to choose from at the Auto Auction. We have a new Swap Meet Director in Bob Millard, who brings more than 50 years of car show experience to Cruisin’ The Coast. Of course, we always appreciate hearing from you, our registered participants and dedicated cruisers. You can find us on Facebook, visit our website at www.cruisinthecoast.com, or send us an email at [email protected]. If you need to talk to one of us, call toll free at 888-808-1188. Keep it between the lines and we’ll see you again this October. Keep Cruisin’! Car Corral: easy and affordable Got one too many cars in the old man cave? Is there an empty space in your “garage mahal” that needs filling? CTC’s Car Corral can help with both problems. Open Thursday, Oct. 8 – Saturday, Oct. 10, the Car Corral provides interested sellers an affordable option for displaying their cars and buyers a single location to search for treasures. The Car Corral is open daily, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and provides a safe and secure location for sellers and buyers alike. A Host Car Club provides volunteers to assist sellers with paperwork and parking, with security provided at night, so you don't have to move it unless you’re going to groove it on Highway 90 in the evenings. The cost is still only $40 for all three days. The exact site location will be published in the July Cruisin’ News and posted on our website, www.cruisinthecoast.com, and on our Facebook page once the schedule is smoothed. Buyers and sellers, you negotiate the price, we just provide the parking! Find us on Facebook Keep in touch with Cruisin’ The Coast all year long by finding us on Facebook. We post the latest registration information, car counts, states represented and more. We also occasionally ask for your opinion on vehicles, events and all things Cruisin’ The Coast. You can also post pics of your ride, ask questions and help potential cruisers learn about “America’s Largest Block Party.” So take a look and “like” us on Facebook. And while you’re there, visit our Smokin’ The Sound Facebook page and learn the latest on our boating events. (Please, no advertising or product/services sales or unsavory posts. Objectionable posts, as determined by Cruisin’ The Coast, will be deleted and the user banned.) Cruisin’ Q&A Yes, the first two questions are repeats but they are still asked so often that we can't leave them out. Those of you who know the answers may skip to question 3 and thanks for your patience. How Do I Contact Cruisin’ The Coast? Before or after the event you may contact CTC by email, [email protected]; phone, 228-385-3847/1-888-8081188 or on Facebook. During the event (Oct. 4-11, 2015) you should phone us at 228-385-3847 or come to the Registration Desk. Please do not email us during the event as we will be onsite and not have access to our email. How Can I Get My Packet If I’ve Registered and I Can’t Come? If the unexpected happens and you have to cancel your Cruisin’ The Coast trip, but you want your Early Bird registration packet with your free participant t-shirt and other goodies, you may have a friend pick up your packet with one of the following pieces of information: confirmation card for your registration or a note telling us who is picking up your packet along with a copy of your driver’s license. What if I change my mind on what car I'm bringing? Call us at 1-888-808-1188 or 228385-3847 by Sept. 1 and we will change your registered car before we print the ID cards. We can change the car onsite but you will have to wait for the new ID to be printed. Any car you register must meet the eligibility year of 1989. How do I buy tickets for the CTC Raffle Car? CTC Raffle Car tickets may be purchased during the event at Cruise Central in Gulfport. The 1967 Chevelle will be on display and Make-A-Wish will be selling tickets. If you wish to purchase tickets before the event, please call the office, 1-888-808-1188 so we can explain the procedure for ordering.
