CORRIGENDUM TO REGION MEMORANDUM NO. 33, S. 2015 re ORIENTATION OF
PARTICIPANTS TO THE SEAMEO INNOTECH FLEXIBLE LEARNING COURSE FOR
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OF SCHOOL HEADS AND TEACHERS

This has reference to Region Memorandum No. 33, s. 2015 re SEAMEO Innotech
Flexible Learning Course for Professional Development Program of School Heads and
Teachers, a partnership program of DepEd RO XII with SEAMEO Innotech for the
continuous professional development of school heads and teachers, to wit:
1.1 GURO21 Course 1 Flexible Learning Course entitled “Facilitating the Development
of 21st Century Skills for Southeast Asian Teachers” for the selected basic education
teachers of DepED Region XII; and
1.2 TEACHeXCELS Flexible Learning Course Package entitled “Teaching and Learning
Excellence in School Leadership for Southeast Asia” for the selected school heads in Region
XII.

Relative to this, please be informed that the Orientation Program shall be rescheduled
on two specific dates per course as indicated below:

The Orientation Program aims to: (a) provide participants general overview of the
course program; and (b) conduct a Hands-on Orientation on iFLEX as flexible learning tool.
All participants should be at the venue before 9:00 a.m. Each participant is required to bring
laptop which shall be used during the iFLEX Hands-on Workshop. See attached Enclosure
No. 1 for the Indicative Program of Activities.

The expected participants to this program are as follows: 149 teachers for GURO21
Course 1 Flexible Learning Course (Enclosure 2); and 140 School Heads for
TEACHeXCELS (Enclosure 3). To ensure the effective implementation and sustainability of
this program, the Schools Division Superintendent or Assistant Division Superintendent is
enjoined to attend on day 1 (May 28, 2015); while the Division SGOD Chief or Human
Resource and Training Development Unit Head is requested to participate on day 2 (May 29,
2015).

The travel expenses and participation fee of the participants (for teachers in the
GURO21 Course 1 is Php 7,000.00 which is broken down to Php 6,000.00 for the course
to be collected by the SEAMEO and Php 1,000.00 for the meal and snacks to be collected by
the Regional Office per participant; while the school heads for TEACHeXCELS Program is
Php 11,000.00 which is broken down to Php 10,000.00 for the course to be collected by the
SEAMEO and Php 1,000.00 for the meal and snacks to be collected by the Regional Office)
chargeable against MOOE or local funds subject to the usual auditing and accounting rules
and regulations.
