Warrior Woman Workout! 12:10 - 1:00 p.m., SAC Gymnasium: Join the WWW, a fitness boot
camp for women only, offering strength, core, and cardio training! Every class is different, and our
exercises are perfect for all fitness levels. We meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. For further

Kettlebells, 12:15 - 12:45 p.m., SAC: Instruction is provided, and all levels are welcome! We meet

Gentle Yoga with Mira Rubiano, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., GH: “My classes are rooted in gratitude - to Self,
to others, and to all teachers, in whatever form they appear…I believe that we can use our practice to

Graduate Institute Council Meeting, 6:30 p.m., PDR: Graduate students are encouraged to attend.

Stars after Seminar, 9:30 - 10:30 p.m., ESL Roof Deck: Mr. Donahue will be out on the roof with
telescopes, looking at Venus, Jupiter, and possibly a comet. Freshmen are especially invited!
The Thinking-Writing Group, 9:45 - 10:15 p.m., Arroyo Room: Come to the Cave and free write
about your Seminar with us! It’s a great way to practice articulating your ideas, and helps to preserve
and edify the work you do in Seminar! Bring a pen and pad–we’ll bring homemade cookies!
Tuesday, May 12th
Iron Bookworm Workout! 12:10 - 1:00 p.m., SAC Gymnasium: Join Mr. Carl and Mr. Venkatesh
for an intense combination of traditional calisthenics, martial arts conditioning, and Chinese and Indian
wrestling exercises. Beginners and all levels welcome—just be ready to push yourself! We meet
Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Breathing Meditation, 12:15 - 12:45 p.m., Thorpe: “Don’t get lost in your thoughts. Your thoughts
are veils on the face of the moon. That moon is your heart. Those thoughts cover your heart. So let
them go. Just let them fall into the water.” (Rumi). Please be on time! Newcomers are welcome. Penny

“Let's Take It Outside!” 12:15 p.m., SAC Entrance: We meet every Tuesday and Thursday, ready
to roll from the front door of the SAC. Join us for a 30-40 minute run or walk in the neighborhood
trails/streets.
Speaking Skills Study Group, 4:30 p.m., Winiarski 201: Whether you experience difficulty
speaking in front of large groups of people, or actively listening during a seminar, we invite you to join
our group. We practice speaking exercises (identifying parts of an argument, presenting impromptu
speeches, and reciting poetry) every other week, and we hold practice seminars in between. For more

Pottery Class, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., FAB Basement Studio: Potters Siddiq Khan and Miranda Blas will guide you
in the art of pottery. Dues are $20 a semester, after which you can check out the key from switchboard.
Indoor Pick-up Soccer, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m., SAC: We also meet on Sundays from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Kundalini Yoga with Anna Tench, 4:40 - 5:40 p.m., Great Hall: The intentions of the class are to achieve
emotional balance and focus your energy. All skills levels are welcome! Ms. Tench (SF15) is a KRI certified
instructor as taught by the Yogi Bhajan.
Student Polity Meeting, 5:30 p.m., JCR: To add something to the agenda, or for any questions or comments,
email [email protected]. Attend one meeting, or three in a row to receive voting rights.
Chess Club, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Coffee Shop: We’ll feature Friday talks and open play. All levels welcome!
Small Chorus, 6:00 p.m., FAB Studio: If you love to sing, then the Small Chorus is for you! Ms. Reahard and
Mr. Houser will be leading the SJC chorus this year, focusing primarily on Renaissance music.
Combat Sports Club, 6:45 - 7:45 p.m., Racquetball Court: Join alumni Aaron Perls as he brings boxing back

Pick-up Basketball, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., SAC: We also meet on Fridays from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Blues Dancing, 8:30 - 10:00 p.m., GH: Learn an intimate and versatile style of partner dance, rooted in the
rhythms and pathos of Blues music. We’ll teach skills which are fundamental to all forms of partner dancing.
Wednesday, May 13th
Tunes at Noon, Schepps Garden, or Weigle Lobby: Traditional fiddle tunes from Scotland, Ireland, New
England, French Canada, the southern mountains, and sometimes farther afield. Beginners are welcome! Come
learn some tunes, play, or just tap your feet! In the event of inclement weather, we’ll relocate indoors.
All Levels Yoga with Mira Rubiano, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., GH: A gentle Vinyasa flow practice open to
practitioners of all levels aimed to stretch, strengthen, relax and revitalize the mind and body.
Open French Conversation, 12:00 noon, PDR: Share an opportunity for very informal French conversation
with interested members of the college community. Ms. Dougherty will attend regularly.
