ACC Scholarship Applications Over 150 scholarships! The application packet is available from various offices on
campus or via the website. Don't miss out – the deadline is March 23rd.
Withdrawal Deadline The last day to withdraw from an individual, full-semester class is Friday, March 27.
Bookstore News this Week
 Congratulations to the winners of the Gradfest drawing!

 Caps, gowns and announcements will be available in the Bookstore through May 7.
 Easter is Sunday, April 5. Come to the Bookstore where you’ll find cute little bunnies and basket stuffers.
 Meal cards for the Lumberjack Shack are available for $25. Redeem the completed card for a free beverage.
 Cold & flu season – you’ll find all the necessities at the Bookstore: Tissue, aspirin, cough drops, lotions and lip balm.
 The next book buy-back will be the week of May 4 (finals week).
Green Seminar Indoor air quality and energy efficiency create homes that are more comfortable to live in, easier to
afford, and more desirable for re-sale. IF YOU ARE A BUILDER, ARCHITECT, REALTOR, OR HOMEOWNER, ACC will be
hosting a FREE 2-day seminar March 20 & 21 in Alpena. This Saturday’s session offers a FREE Home Inspection class.
Completion of seminar gets you two certificates; Green Building and Sustainability, and the Builder’s Continued

Bake Sale! The Student Nurses Association will be having a Bake Sale on Thursday, April 2nd starting at 10:00am in the

Need a little help with a class or maybe a lot of help? FREE tutoring is available through the Student Services Center!
Don’t wait until you are lost in a class, make an appointment today. You can schedule up to 3 hours per week, per
class. Some tutors are even available on the weekends! All ACC tutors have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and at
least a B in the class they are tutoring. The Student Services Center is here to help you, all you have to do is ask. Call

Spring Fling Please join us on Monday, March 30 from 11:30am to 2:30pm in the gym for ACC’s Spring Fling! There will
be free food and drinks, prizes and giveaways, ACC organizations, local vendors, a live DJ, and potential employers.

Western Michigan University Campus Visit Are you interested in transferring to Western Michigan University or do you
want to check out Western’s campus. If yes, then join TRiO SSS for a FREE trip to WMU. Western will provide an
admissions presentation and a walking tour of campus. If you’d like to meet with an individual advisor in your specific
program, contact Sarah (CTR 108) as soon as possible. She will do her best to make that happen for you. This trip will

Wayne State University Campus Visit Are you interested in transferring to Wayne State University or do you want to
check out Wayne’s campus. If yes, then join TRiO SSS for a FREE trip to WSU. Wayne will provide a presentation from
the Transfer Success Center and a walking tour of campus. If you’d like to meet with an individual advisor in your
specific program, contact Sarah (CTR 108) as soon as possible. She will do her best to make that happen for you. This
trip will be on Friday, April 17. This will be an all-day event. As an added bonus, participants of this trip will also get to
enjoy a Broadway production of Memphis at the Fox Theater. Tickets have already been purchased by TRiO SSS. This

Wellness Tip On those days when lifting weights seems harder than usual, try counting your reps backwards. Three,
two, one is psychologically easier to face than ten, eleven, twelve. The Fredrick T Johnston Wellness Center is here for

2 Weeks Left for Monopoly Tournament TRiO Student Support Services is holding a Monopoly tournament on Tuesdays
in March from 3pm-5pm in CTR 116. It is not necessary to play every Tuesday to be in the tournament. Please stop by
CTR 108 to sign up, for more details, or to see if you are eligible for TRiO Student Support Services.
