The MP3 is compliant with ISO and FDA regulations and provides you with real-time data to assess the device’s performance. The MP3 can be used to evaluate the hemodynamic performance of transcatheter and surgically-implanted aortic and mitral heart valves and LVADs. Pulsatile fluid flow is measured ultrasonically and prosthetic heart valves can be swapped out easily without completely draining the system. System pressure can be measured at multiple points with high natural-frequency transducers. Aortic and Peripheral Flow Loops User-adjustable clamps on compliant vascular tubing allow you to independently adjust systolic and diastolic pressure and vascular resistance. Left Ventricle Chamber The optically transparent left ventricle allows for an unobstructed view of the inlet and outlet sides of both mitral and aortic valves simultaneously. Valves can be changed without emptying the MP3. Motion Control System The MP3’s drive system utilizes a programmable stepper motor that can break up each cycle into 121,600 steps, allowing the generation of extremely accurate contour flow and pressure traces. The MP3 provides absolute control of dP/Dt, which is essential to the elimination of mechanical valve cavitation problems. MP3 Flow Loop The MP3’s Flow Loop, controlled by the LabView®-based control software, vascular clamps and ultrasonic flow meter provide outstanding control to the user, and the ability to vary performance parameters with an accuracy not previously available with pulse duplicators. M6 Test Sections For users of Dynatek’s M6 Heart Valve Tester, test sections containing prosthetic valves may be transferred from the M6 to the Aortic Assembly in the MP3, allowing you to evaluate hemodynamic parameters during an extended fatigue test.
