HAPPY FOREIGN LANGUAGE WEEK FROM VEI!
CANDY GRAMS FOR SALE
VEI goes international and is selling Language
Grams. They will be on sale Monday, March
23rd through Wednesday, March 25th. For $1
send a note and some candy to a friend to wish
them a "Happy Spring Break" in Spanish,
French, German or Latin. Delivery will take
place on Friday, March 27th during 2nd and 3rd hour.
TUESDAY, MARCH 24
POST PROM MEETING
Our next Post Prom meeting will be on Tuesday,
March 24th at 7 pm in Room B121. All are
welcome to attend.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25
BUFFALO WILD WINGS FUNDRAISER
Join us on Wednesday, March 25th at Buffalo Wild Wings
for a VEI sponsored "Eat and Earn" night. 10% of the
proceeds from every wing, sandwich, and fry you eat will
go back to St. Charles East VEI. Come on out to B-Dubs
on March 25th with some friends and eat the best wings in
town. The fundraising flyer can be found in the Student
Activities Office or in the Orange and Black bulletin. See
you there!
BATTLE OF THE LANGUAGES SCAVENGER HUNT
If you would like to participate in a “battle of the
languages” scavenger hunt, join Spanish and French clubs
on Wednesday, March 25th after school in the Main
Commons. Let Ms. Oetke or Ms. Santa Maria know if you
plan on coming.

ATTENTION ALL KEY CLUB MEMBERS
The Northern Illinois Food Bank needs 100 student
volunteers from St. Charles East. Volunteers will be
working in the community garden, planting seeds, trees,
and working outside. The Northern Illinois Food Bank
needs your help to grow and distribute fresh produce to
local organizations in need. There are three dates for
this event: March 27th, April 17th, and April 24th from
3:00-5:00 p.m. If you have any questions, contact Alexis
Ortiz or Mrs. Saylors. Hope to see you there.
WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Sandra Cisneros, Mindy
Kaling.....what do all of these women have in common? To
find out, stop by the LRC to peruse the new Women's
Literature section in honor of Women's History
Month!
This section will be up through April 10th in
section F.
SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Registration for traditional Summer School courses runs
through June 4th for Session 1. Register online at
www.d303.org.
ATTENTION SENIORS
Thinking about how to pay for college? Consider applying
for an Anna Daley – “Fighting Saints” – Memorial
Scholarship. Selection will be based on, among other
considerations, the extent to which the applicant’s life
reflects the values by which Anna Daley lived her life.
Remember: the application deadline is April 8. See the
College & Career Department for more details.
DRILL TEAM TRYOUTS
Want to continue your love for dance in high school?
Come try out for the Saint Charles East 2015-2016
Varsity Drill Team. Tryouts will be at Saint Charles
East Monday, April 13th through Friday, April 17th.
Please join us for a parent/athlete informational meeting
on Monday, April 6th at 7 pm in the LRC at East High
School. More information can be found on the East
