VOLUNTEERHUB INSTRUCTIONS FOR EASTSIDE VOLUNTEERS
Habitat now requires that all volunteers use an internet-based process to pre-register for each day that
we work at the build site.
In order to register you will need to create or modify a user account, after which you can sign up for
each specific work date as a member of “Eastside Coalition Churches”.
ONE TIME ACTIONS
Log into the volunteerhub system using the following link:
http://habitatcincinnati.volunteerhub.com/events/index
Those without a previous account should click on the NEW USER button and follow that process.
Those who already have accounts should click on the RETURNING USER button and follow that process,
adding the Eastside Coalition to your profile.
The system requires that you enter the information that previously was on the paper sign-in form and
waiver form, and those paper forms are no longer required with one exception: youth 16-17 must fill
out the waiver form on-site and have it signed by the adult responsible for them.
During the account setup process you will arrive at a page titled “User Registration: Join Code” followed
by “You will be joined to the following groups.” In order to be able to sign up for Saturday work days
you must enter the Join Code “east2”.
Enter that in the join code box and then click Next. You should be told you are a member of “Eastside
Coalition Churches”. (This will NOT remove you from any other groups so it won’t prevent you from
signing up for those other activities.)
REGISTRATION FOR EACH WORK DAY
Once you have a new or updated volunteerhub user profile Habitat wants you to register for each and
every build day you attend, and the easiest way is to use the following link:

That link will take you to the calendar of events dedicated exclusively to Eastside builds (whereas the
link you used to create and/or modify your user account and the link off of the Habitat web site will
show you every volunteer date at all build sites, as well as office and ReStore volunteer opportunities).
Scroll down that list of events to see the various planned build dates. Find the date you want to register
for and hover your mouse over the underlined “Lockland, OH -722/725/726 Mulberry Street”. You
should see the build address/date/time and the number of signup slots left for Eastside Coalition Church
members. If you see the word “Reserved” it means that you don’t have the right join code, so call/email
me for help. If you see that the slots are all “Filled” then other church member beat you to the signup
list. In that case you can take the day off, but we would rather have you just go ahead and show up at
the work site- we want your help anyway.
Once you find the right build date then click on the underlined portion and follow the steps to sign up
for that build date.
Once you sign up for build dates those will be listed at the top of the page when you first enter
volunteerhub.
You will receive reminder emails for each date you sign up for. If you end up changing your plans you
will help us out by using the link in that email to cancel your registration. That will open the slot for
somebody else and prevent the lunch provider from making an unnecessary lunch on Saturday.
