RESIDENT’S COUNCIL
INFORMATION
I know that everyone was disappointed that
we were unable to hold our April Resident’s Council meeting. Occasionally this sort of thing happens. We needed to finalize plans for our April 25
yard sale, but, when three of the four officers were
unable to attend, -----------. Believe it or not, but
this has happened in the past. AND, there have
been times when we have had to call a special
meeting. We will go on from here.
As I’m writing this, the yard sale has not
happened. Come to the May meeting to find out
how we did and what we were able to donate to
Hartfelt Ministries.
Austin has had surgery, but Senior Moments will be back with us on Friday, May 15 at
6:00 PM.
We had a great turn-out for the birthday
party put on by Oak Harbor Church ladies. They
always have a good variety of food and entertainment. They will be back in November.
Monday, May 18 Palms Presbyterian ladies
will be doing our birthday party at 5:30pm.
There will be a cook-out given for us by a
Sunday school class from Kernan Boulevard
Baptist Church on Saturday, May 16 at noon.
How fortunate we are that so many wonderful people come to give us special attention –
birthdays and otherwise.

LAUGH ALONG WITH US
An old geezer, who had been a retired farmer for a long time,
became very bored and decided to open a medical clinic. He put a
sign up outside that said: "Get your treatment for $500, if not
cured get back $1,000."
Mr. "Young," who was positive that this old geezer didn't know
beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to
get $1,000.
So he went to Dr. Geezer's clinic. This is what transpired:
Mr. Young: "Dr. Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mouth, can you
please help me?”
Dr. Geezer: "Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3
drops in Mr. Young's mouth."
Mr. Young: Aaagh !! "This is gasoline!"
Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You've got your taste back. That
will be $500."
Mr. Young gets annoyed and goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money.
Mr. Young: "I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything." Dr. Geezer: "Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22
and put 3 drops in the patient's mouth."
Mr. Young: "Oh no you don't, that's Gasoline !"
Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations ! You've got your memory back.
That will be $500."
Mr. Young (after having lost $1,000) leaves angrily and comes
back after several more days.
Mr. Young: "My eyesight has become weak, I can hardly see !!!!”
Dr. Geezer: "Well, I don't have any medicine for that so... Here's
your $1,000 back."
Mr. Young: "But this is only $500...!!!"
Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You got your vision back! That
will be $500."
Moral of story... Just because you're "Young" doesn't mean that
you can outsmart an old "Geezer" !
