Film Society: This is a co-curricular group for Year 12 and 13 students. We meet two other local
schools on a Monday evening to watch and discuss films. It costs $120 to join. The films screen
throughout Terms 2 and 3. If you are interested please add your name to the sign up sheet in E25 or
talk to Miss Johnston. We only have 25 places so make sure you don't miss out by signing up before
the end of week 8.

Year 13s - Interested in a career in Speech and Language Therapy? There is an opportunity to attend
a Speech and Language Therapy Day at Massey University in April.
In order to be considered eligible for this event, students must be studying English and a Science or
Mathematics subject to Level 3 or equivalent. On the day you will have the opportunity to observe
Speech and Language Therapy at work, meet with current students and staff, as well as take part in
practical activities related to the area. Please come into Career Education if you are interested in

CAMPAIGN WEEK: PINK BAGS

Pink bags WILL BE CONTINUED TO BE COLLECTED during campaign week. This year the goal is
to collect 1000 pink bags and make Epsom Girls Grammar the New Zealand school record holder for
the most pink bags. Make sure you take a pink bag home, if you haven't done so yet, fill it with
unused clothes and bring it to the front reception office.

There is still space in the Tuesday lunchtime Pilates classes. Sign up for the remaining 3 weeks of
this term, cost $15 or for both Term 1 and Term 2 (Tuesday 28th April to the 23rd June), cost $40.
Your instructor is Sarah Stanley, a fully qualified Classical Pilates instructor with a Professional
Certificate from Peak Pilates. Classical Pilates is based on Joseph Pilates original exercise routines,
aiming to develop strength, stamina and flexibility. Classes follow a set pattern and over time,
progress from basic to more advanced exercises. Sarah’s training included the study of Anatomy and
Physiology and she is actively involved in sport. She teaches Pilates in 2 Auckland studios and is
qualified to teach both mat and equipment sessions.

field. Senior soccer trials are next Thursday the 19th straight after school on the field. Bring your

Thanks to all who came and trialled for Lacrosse this year,it was great to see so many people
interested in the sport! For those who have made it to the shortlist, there is a second trial on the field,
