Entry Eligibility:
Hawaii’s Better Business Bureau Torch Awards are open to all Hawaii businesses and public charities. BBB
Accreditation is not required, however the organization must be:


Physically located and operating in Hawaii for at least one year
Eligible for BBB Accreditation.
If an organization has been the object of major lawsuits, including class action suits or government actions in the past
three years, or is currently unable to meet its financial obligations, the information must be disclosed as part of the
entry.
Entry Criteria:
Digital Entries may be submitted via email in PDF or .doc format to [email protected]. All photos and
logos submitted should be minimum 300 dpi in .jpg .png or .tiff formats. Alternatively, you may mail in a flash drive
or CD with your completed entry files.
Hard Copy entries must be submitted on 8.5 x 11 papers and organized in in a folder, binder or similar format.
A description of your organizations history, leadership, size, and products or services. (No longer than 2 pages)
5 – 10 digital or camera ready photos that represent the organizations:
o Staff
o Organizations Logo (.eps preferred)
o Building, Office and Services and Products
o Headshots of executives
o Events and or community services
Describe how your organization meets one of the following standards in its operations with customers, suppliers
and or staff. Please limit the response to no more than 1 page total.

Up to three additional pieces of collateral that demonstrate the organizations commitment to trust is welcome, such as

support the entry.
Judging:
A panel representing past BBB Torch Award recipients will review, judge and score the 2015 BBB Torch Award entries
based on eligibility and entry criteria. Hawaii’s BBB facilitates the judging process. The judge’s decisions are final.
Deadlines:
The 2015 BBB Torch Awards entry deadline is 5 p.m. on April 6, 2015.
