RA Spring Closing Checklist
Week 6
□ Attend RA In-service about closing and do lots of learning
Week 7
□ Pick up Exit LLAs/closing bulletin board/closing community meeting agenda/pre-checkout meeting guide
from RD at staff mtg
o All documents will be available through the RA Resources webpage
o Bulletin board PDF will also be emailed to you
□ Closing bulletin boards put up and/or PDF emailed out by Sunday, May 17
□ Hand out Exit LLAs to all room/suite/apartment-mates
Week 8
□ Conduct Health and Safety Inspections with RD – promote closing and Exit LLAs
□ Collect back and/or remind residents to turn in Exit LLAs
Week 9
□ Facilitate Closing Community Meeting(s) – make sure to collect back Exit LLAs
□ Pick up closing reminder notices and pre-checkout meeting receipts from your mailbox in RAD
□ Post the closing reminder notices on residents’ doors by Sunday, May 31
□ Block your unavailable times on the provided Google spreadsheet for eval week (Sunday-Friday, June 712) and email link to your residents by Sunday, May 31
□ Wednesday, June 29, 3pm – front office training w/ Jaycie

Sign up for front office shift (one 3-hour shift Wed, Thur or Sat)
Week 10
□ Facilitate pre-checkout meetings as requested by residents (you won’t be using the sign up
system for week 10) and provide pre-checkout receipts
□ Start monitoring common areas in your building(s) for issues and follow up with residents as needed
Eval Week and Closing Day
□ Monday, June 8 – pick up A-D temp key from RAD front office (you’ll use this after 5pm on Fri)
□ Monday, June 8, 6-8pm – All RAD staff end of year celebration dinner!
□ Be available in your community as much as possible this week, especially Wednesday-Saturday
□ Keep checking Google spreadsheet schedule/emails so you know when residents have signed up
for appointments with you
□ Facilitate pre-checkout meetings with residents and provide receipts
□ Monitor hallways, lounges, stairwells, sorting centers for issues and follow up with residents as needed
□ Keep track of residents who have left, scheduled appointments, and/or that you haven’t
seen/heard from on your roster:
o Keep your RD in the loop
o If you haven’t seen or heard from a resident, attempt to make contact and/or talk with
your RD about possibly checking the room
o Fill out a receipt for anyone that left without meeting with you and return to RAD office
□ Work your scheduled front office shift (one 3-hour shift Wed, Thur or Sat)
□ Friday, June 12 – be in your community all day unless you receive prior approval from your RD
□ Friday, June 12, 6pm – eat dinner in with all RAD staff in RADAR
Saturday, June 13 and Before You Lave
□ 9am-noon – facilitate pre-checkout meetings with any approved late-stay residents
□ Remove all bulletin boards, signs, fliers, postings, etc. from around your floor(s)/building(s)
□ Return all provided RA apparel (including hats) and supplies to your RD
□ Return admin/staff keys to your RD
□ Return rosters, important paperwork (i.e., Exit LLAs), etc. related to your RA position and/or
closing to your RD
□ Get approval from your RD that everything is complete and you’re okay to leave
□ Complete your own check-out (by 2pm on Saturday, June 13):

Remove all belongings from your room/unit and clean it
Take all trash, recycling and donations to appropriate areas
Return your housing keys to the RAD office (temporarily located on the A-2)
