ALIGNING TO WIN: EXCELLENCE IN STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT S I N G A P O R E M A N A G E M E N T U N I V E R S I T Y PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS •A Framework for Implementing Strategy •Ensuring an Ideal Process, Reinforcement, and Review •Essentials of Change Management (simulation based experience) •Change and Personal Reputation ABOUT THE PROGRAMME BENEFITS Executing a great strategy can be as challenging as formulating it if not more. Strategy discussions are often perceived as glamorous, yet knowing how to execute a strategy across the organisation and helping your team adapt are what makes a firm excel. Unfortunately, the current reality is that out of every 10 strategies, nine failed to be implemented successfully. • Discover the keys to developing an effective framework for implementing strategy and leading change • Apply the eight levers essential to driving execution in your organisation • Understand why people resist change and develop solutions During this four-day programme, you will learn to understand the opportunities and challenges of driving implementation and leading change. At the end of the course, you will acquire key frameworks, latest insights and numerous Asian and global case examples of how implementation and change initiatives can go wrong, and more importantly, how to get them right. WHO SHOULD ATTEND It has always been my utmost concern to have a strategy at work. This programme has shown me leading models, frameworks and right actions which I can adopt in my implementation of a strategy. The professors were very experienced and they injected lots of fun and laughter in class through games and role playing. I also enjoyed interacting with my fellow classmates and the exchange of work experiences adds value to my learning journey with SMU Executive Development. Mid-level and senior managers who are handling or about to handle change initiatives in their organisation should attend the programme. Participants should have a minimum of between seven and 10 years of workplace experience and are responsible for a business unit, substantial project or team. This programme is excellently designed in such a way that participants from diverse industries, cultures and geographical regions were motivated to contribute to and engage in group discussions, case study analyses, role playing and strategy simulation. The multiplicity of viewpoints and perspectives enriched my learning experience and offered valuable takeaways for daily work application.
