4-H SEWING LAB
Thanks to a grant from Utah
State University, Juab County
Extension has a mini sewing
lab consisting of 8 Bernina
sewing machines, a Bernina
serger, and sewing tools. This
is an opportunity for Juab
County residents, adults, and
youth, to learn useful sewing
life skills without having to
travel.
The lab is available for reservation at the Extension office.
This allows local 4-H sewing
clubs to come to the Extension
office and work on projects all
together, with each 4-Her having a machine to use. Plan a
project, and call the Extension
office to reserve your sewing
project date!
4-H Family Life Council
4-H Family Life Council Volunteers Needed!
Are you a parent, adult, or 4-H member interested in Family Life and Consumer issues? If you
are, WE NEED YOU! The 4-H Family Life Council will identify and plan 4-H activities, day camps,
and programs for the youth of Juab County.
If you are interested in becoming involved, and
could volunteer to contribute a minimal amount of
time to this council, please call us at 623-3450 and
we will give you more information.
Junior Youth Conference
JYC will be held June 8-11, 2015. Registration
opens April 1. Every summer in Ephraim, on the
Snow college campus, 4-H presents its camp for
those youth who have just completed 5th and 6th
grade.
While at the conference, all youth get the opportunity to go through many workshops that teach
them about teamwork, trust, friendship, and many
other life skills. Teen Leaders manage each group
in order to keep the youth always busy with
