This month the Gospel passages are from Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount,” the longest collection of
Jesus’ teaching in the New Testament. Parents are encouraged to read the whole Sermon
(Matthew, chapters 5, 6 & 7) at least once to have a sense of the whole picture.

Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Mt 5:3
